The TMB Leadership Team met last Tuesday evening and were pleased to have Trinity Network staff Paul Harrington and Andrew Severin in attendance also.

We enjoyed spending some time in discussion and planning around Bible Study Groups. We continue to prayerfully seek effective ways to connect more and more TMBers into small groups; where they can share not only the gospel of God but their lives as well. There are a number of things we hope to begin putting in place, both to support existing Bible Study Groups and begin new ones, so watch this space!

We were very thankful to be privy to some new Trinity Network data relating to Church Health Indicators in the course of our meeting, which enabled us to see a helpful picture of where we sit as a church in some key growth areas like Mission, Membership and spiritual Maturity. And we’re looking forward to a Network-wide leaders’ conference day in September. Please be praying with us that this will be a great time of encouragement and challenge for the Leadership Teams across the Trinity Network of churches.

We also spent time discussing finances. TMB continues to face the challenges of a considerable budget deficit which, whilst May saw an encouraging increase in giving, still sits at just over $29,000 (YTD). We remain concerned and prayerful as we seek a way forward which will alleviate financial pressure but continue to facilitate new ministry opportunities as they arise under God. To that end we are proactively investigating the possibility of reducing costs by exiting the office space at 9 Hampden Rd and finding alternative spaces for ministry and admin tasks. The Hampden Rd property has also recently been placed up for sale, bringing additional complexities as we consider our options. Please join us in praying that God would provide clarity and direction as we go. Our next meeting is scheduled for late July.

In Christ,
