An opportunity to be surprised and challenged
Join us for Easter
We'd love you to join us at Trinity Mount Barker this Easter!
We're holding a service of prayer and reflection on Good Friday, April 14 at 10AM, and a family-friendly communion service on Easter Sunday, April 16 at 10AM.
Both services will be held at Cornerstone College, 68 Adelaide Road, Mount Barker.
Children's activity packs will be available on Easter Sunday, and hot cross buns will be served after the service.
Please don't hesitate to contact us for further information.
Advent Readings & Activities
If you're looking for a new Christmas tradition for your family, or perhaps just eager to steer a course through the commercialism associated with Christmas, why not spend the days in December reading through the story of the birth of Jesus with our Advent Readings?
Each day will take you to part of the Bible's story of the birth of Christ, along with some suggested things to pray about, and optional craft activities if you're looking for ways to help your children engage with the good news of the Christmas story.
This set of readings and activities has been prepared by Wendy Lin. We hope you find them useful and encouraging!
Download the PDF file here, or collect a copy on Sundays.
An opportunity to be surprised and challenged
How do you guard yourself from those who try to lead you astray?
How can a church ensure that it is holding to the truth of Jesus, even if people inside and outside claim to have the "right' or "true" message?
1 John points us in the direction of an answer!
So, fortunately for us, our "Life in the Light" teaching series in 1 John commences on August 6! We will be looking together at four sections from the Apostle John's first letter to Christians in the first Century AD. There is much in 1 John that is profitable for us today, especially the importance that John places on the person and work of Jesus. If we understand Jesus rightly, we know and understand God. Conversely, if we get Jesus wrong, we'll find ourselves far from God.
This teaching series is split, divided by a short series from the Sermon on the Mount, and a one-off talk on same-sex attraction. An additional study guide is included in the booklet if groups need an extra study to stay in sync with the Sunday teaching.
Impact Youth Camp
Youth in years 7 - 12 are invited to attend Impact Youth Camp 2017 at Victor Harbor on the March long weekend.
They'll join youth from Trinity Hills and Trinity South Coast to study, discuss and take part in activities focused on 'Ruth: Under the wings of God'.
Duncan Andrwes will be the guest speaker.
The camp starts at 5 PM on March 10 and finishes at 2.30 PM on March 13.
Register by February 19 for the early bird rate of $170, or pay the late lizard fee of $195.
Please see Matt Kerrison or Clayton Fopp if cost is an issue, as we don't want this to stop you from attending.
See the Impact 2017 event page to register and find out more details.
Bible study guides for the Beginnings teaching series are available to download.
Download the most recent studies, on Genesis 23 - 32, for the 2017 series. The Sunday teaching will start on June 11 and run through until July 30.
You can also download previous study guides for the earlier sections of this series:
TMB turns 7
We'd love to see all our members on February 26 to celebrate TMB's 7th anniversary.
We'll serve cake and coffee after the regular service to show our thankfulness to God and to you, the people who call TMB your church home.
We also welcome guests and would love to meet you/see you again.
We're gathering to pray on Wednesday June 7, 8 - 9 PM at Cornerstone College.
While we pray in all sorts of ways and on all manner of occasions, it is especially good to join together in prayer. Gathering as a church to pray gives us an opportunity as a family to bring our concerns to God, and to join with each other in thanking God for his goodness to us! Of course, lots of Christians also find it really encouraging to listen to others pray, and to learn from the prayers of other believers.
And you can be part of it!
Please join us Wednesday June 7, at 8 PM, in Paideia at Cornerstone College, where we meet on Sundays. There will be no evening TMB Bible Studies during the week of Monday 5th - Friday 9th June. All groups will be joining in the Prayer Gathering. You'll be able to pray for a range of areas in our church life and beyond, sing some songs, enjoy quietness for reflection and prayer, and be encouraged through the prayers of others. You can pray out loud, or not. And if you come 15 minutes early, at 7:45, coffee will be served!
Our children's programs will resume on Sunday, February 5, which means it's time for parents to complete a new ChildSafe Medical and Personal Information Form.
Please click on the links below if you have children in Kids' Church, Creche, GiG or Youth Group at TMB. You can complete the forms on your computer or by hand, and bring them with you on the first day of the program. Hard copies are also available on the Kids' Church desk on Sunday.
Please contact the office if you have any queries.

Easter picnic & egg hunt
We'd love members and guests to stay at Cornerstone after our service on April 9 for a social picnic and children's Easter egg hunt.
We'll have a sausage sizzle on offer or you can bring your own lunch.
The fun will begin at about 12.30 PM.
Christian people routinely find that the best thing they can do for their own spiritual growth is to read the Bible regularly. And we shouldn't be surprised! We believe the Bible is God's Word and that it's through the Bible that he promises to speak to us today.
At Trinity we're using a simple pattern of reading the Bible for ourselves 5 days a week, with the help of the acronym SOAP.
S. Scripture. Simply read the passage! You can see the current SOAP readings to the right, or on the left column on any page on this website. If you're on Facebook, follow the TMB page to see the weekly readings in your newsfeed.
O. Observation. What do you observe in the passage?
What stands out?
What surprises you?
What makes a lot of sense?
What doesn’t seem to make much sense at all?
Some people like to journal, that is, to write down their questions and observations. SOAP journalling pages are available on the Welcome Desk on Sundays for you to collect if you think you'd find them helpful.
