Junior Youth Bible Study

How are we meant to live to please God?
Is it by following the "rules" like the Pharisees did or something else................?
We hope that you can join us at Junior Youth Bible Study this Sunday to find out what the Bible says about these questions.

Jesus' Crucifixion

The special Easter holiday is over for another year, but for the next few weeks in Kids Church we are going to take a closer look at Jesus death, resurrection and the time he spent with his disciples before returning to his Father in heaven.

Jesus’ crucifixion, burial, and resurrection are the centre of the gospel. Jesus accomplished the plan God had been working out throughout the Old Testament to bring salvation to sinners, and it happened in such an unlikely way.  Jesus lived the perfect life we failed to live and died the guilty death we don’t want to die. Those who trust in Him receive forgiveness and eternal life.

We hope you can join us in Kids Church this Sunday to learn more!

Kids' Church: Jesus' Resurrection

JESUS IS ALIVE!! Come along to Kids Church on Sunday and hear the rest of the good news!
Jesus died on the cross for our sins, but He didn’t stay dead. God was pleased with Jesus’ sacrifice and raised Jesus from the dead to reign as King over all creation. Jesus provides salvation from sin and the promise of eternal life.

Easter is surprising and unexpected.

For something that comes around at roughly the same time every year, Easter is surprising and unexpected!
Of course, it's not really the celebration of Easter that's surprising, but the historical event behind the celebration.
Is it really possible that someone would die in the place of others?
And it is really possible that he could be raised from the dead just as he predicted?
And it it really possible that people in the 21st Century would believe all that?
And is it possible that the implications of these surprising and unexpected events could still be felt today?
We'd love to have you come and celebrate the surprising and unexpected Easter with us at Trinity.  You're welcome if you've got questions about Jesus, if you're not sure what you believe, or if you're already convinced that Easter is really, really good news!
We're holding a service of prayer and reflection on Good Friday, 19 April at 10 AM,
And a family-friendly communion service on Easter Sunday, 21 April at 10AM

Both services will be held at Cornerstone College, 68 Adelaide Road, Mount Barker.

A special Kids Church holiday program will be running on Easter Sunday, and hot cross buns will be served after the service.

Please don't hesitate to contact us for further information.

Easter 2018

GiG Youth is on again for Term 2!

Simply Christianity

If you're in school years 7 - 11 you're welcome at GiG! We meet Friday nights 7:30 - 9:30 at Cornerstone College.

GiG stands for Growing in God, and that's what GiG is all about.  We have fun, eat, get to know each other, think about big issues, and spend time in small groups looking at the Bible together.

This term our theme is "Simply Christianity" and we're bringing all our questions about God, and Jesus, and the Christian faith to Luke's historical account of Jesus' life in the New Testament.

Come along with your hard and important questions!

Email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for more information, or come along on Friday nights in term time to find out more.

Check out some highlights from the GiG Youth Instagram feed.

Reading the history of Jesus' life and ministry in our Simply Christianity groups brings lots of questions to the surface!

Question Mark

Simply Christianity participants can ask questions during the discussion, or they can submit questions that are then distributed with answers.  We thought that since someone has aksed these questions, probably there are other people also wondering the same things!  So the questions that have been submitted in our two current Simply Christianity groups, are now listed in our Q and A, along with the answers that have been provided.

We'll add questions from subsequent sessions as we progress through Luke's gospel together, and we'll also include questions from last year's Simply Christianity groups.

If you've got a question about Jesus and Christianity, head over to the Q and A page and see if its already been asked and answered!

We're gathering to pray this Wednesday, 8 May 8:00 - 9:15 PM at Cornerstone College

While we pray in all sorts of ways and on all manner of occasions, it is especially good to join together in prayer.  Gathering as a church to pray gives us an opportunity as a family to bring our concerns to God, and to join with each other in thanking God for his goodness to us!  Of course, lots of Christians also find it really encouraging to listen to others pray, and to learn from the prayers of other believers.Prayer Gathering

This term's Prayer Gathering will be lead by our Monday night Young Adults Bible Study Group.  They are eager to lead us in prayer and in doing so, share some of how they study the Bible together when they gather!

Please join us Wednesday 8 May, at 8 PM, in Paideia at Cornerstone College.

You can pray out loud, or not.  And if you come 15 minutes early, at 7:45, tea, coffee, and light supper will be served!

Kids in years 5 – 6 at school?  Bring them along to Junior Youth Bible Study on Sunday as we look at the last chapter in 1 Peter.  We’d love to see you there!

TCMB's Annual General Meeting is coming up on Sunday, 26 May, after the church service at 1:30pm.  If TCMB is your church home, please join us! AGM

We will elect one person to our Leadership Team for a two-year term and we'll have an update from the Senior Pastor Selection Team so we can pray for that ongoing process. Carolyn Hull has been nominated and agreed to stand for election at this coming AGM.
Being part of this meeting is one of the ways that we can express our membership of the church.  Membership of TMB Inc is open to anyone who assents to the “Objects” of TMB and the “Statement of Doctrines” as summarised in The 39 Articles of Religion.  You will find these Articles here if you're unfamiliar with them.
Being a member of our legal body is not the only, nor the primary, way of expressing membership in our church.  Serving in gospel ministry together, giving sacrificially to the work we do, and using our gifts for the benefit of others in the Body of Christ here are all more significant ways of expressing gospel partnership, but taking part in this formal way is still an important aspect of our life together.  The AGM gives us a chance to reflect on what God has done amongst us in the previous year, to give thanks for his kindness to us and to find out some of what has been happening in the various ministry areas of our church.

Jesus' Crucifixion and Resurrection

Come along to Kids Church on Sunday as we continue to look forward to Easter!
The crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus is the centre of the gospel. We deserve to die because of our sin, but Jesus died in our place. He was the blood sacrifice made once and for all for the forgiveness of sin. God was pleased with Jesus’ sacrifice and raised Jesus from the dead to reign as King over all creation. We are forgiven only through Jesus. (Acts 4:12)

Junior Youth Bible Study is back

We hope that you have had a great holiday time.
JYBS begins again this Sunday. This term, we will look at the book of Luke and discover the message that God has for us today.
Looking forward to seeing you then.

Jesus' Triumphal Entry

During Jesus’ triumphal entry, the people welcomed Him as King. Jesus was the Messiah spoken about by the prophet Zechariah: “Look, your King is coming to you; He is righteous and victorious, humble and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey” (Zechariah 9:9). One day, Jesus will return to earth on a white horse as King over everything. (Revelation 19:11)
We hope you can come along to Kids Church on Sunday to find out more!
